It's back-to-school and I am sorting through music, writing lesson plans for returning students, and thinking about what new music I wish to add to my collection this season. When I am ready to make my music purchase I will go to Ted Cole's in Salem.
Ted Cole's is locally owned, the owners know the inventory, they carry music of all genres, and they have been in the community a long time. I believe in supporting brick and mortar music shops. Sure, you can get just about any piece of music online, but this shop will special order any piece or book. My experience is that it takes several days to receive music ordered online, but just two days through Ted Cole's. Plus, you get to browse actual music. What a source of inspiration!

Maybe you will see me there. I will be browsing the bins. And, I send all of my voice students there to get their books.
